Bail Bond fees and Jail Procedures

How do I bail or bond someone out of jail?

There are two methods to post a bail bond: Cash bond: The total face amount of the bond, in cash or cashiers check, is placed with Palm Beach County to guarantee the arrestee will appear in court for their hearing. Should the defendant fail to appear, the bail bond money is forfeited. In the case of a not guilty verdict being rendered or the case be dismissed, or at the conclusion of trial proceedings, the bail bond money will be refunded. If a judge so orders, any court costs or court fines will be taken out of the posted cash bond. Once the case is disposed of, the remaining funds will be refunded. Refunds on cash bonds are processed at the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts Office in the Palm Beach City Court House. NOTE: Cash or a cashiers check are the only accepted methods of payment for cash bonds. Surety bond, Bail, Bail Bondsman: A bail bonding agency posts a bond that guarantees an arrestee will appear at their court date. Neither Palm Beach County nor the Sheriffs Office participates in the contract between a defendant / arrestee and the bonding company. The bail bonding company charges a fee for each bond posted of 10%. We offer flexible payment plans and a variety of payment options, call us today for more information.

How long does posting a Bail Bond take?

Once the bail amount is confirmed, we send our agent to post the bail bond at the Gun Club Jail. At this time the jail release process begins and typically can take anywhere from one to three hours to be completed. When there are more people booked into the County Jail, such as special events as well as holidays and weekends, the wait could be much longer. This wait is unavoidable as most jails usually only have one or to officers or individuals processing all the bail paperwork at a time. A signature is all that required in most cases. On Larger bail bonds the most common type of collateral is a lien on a home or piece of land. In some cases, we can accept a portion of the bail bond collateral in cash or credit card. Remember, ALL COLLATERAL IS RETURNED TO THE DEPOSITOR ONCE THE BAIL BOND IS DISCHARGED BY THE COURT.

Google Reviews

Carson Smith 8 months ago- "Thank you for your help in bonding out my husband. He had a DUI charge and another bail bond company that I won't mention here was insisting that they could get him out immediately. Your office staff explained that it is a State law that he had to be in custody for eight hours. Thank you for being honest and not trying to mislead me. I would like to add that they also kept me informed of all the upcoming court dates"
